Overview

Gratuiti is a tip calculator app built by Tiven Labs. Your privacy is simple: we don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Gratuiti does not collect, store, or share:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Tip amounts, bill amounts, or calculation history on any server
• Location data on any server
• Device identifiers or fingerprints

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted:

• Preferences: Last tip percentage, split count, appearance mode, and tax settings are saved in UserDefaults so the app remembers your choices.
• Tip History (Pro): Saved tip entries including bill amount, tip amount, total, split count, and per-person amount are stored in an encrypted local database (SwiftData with NSFileProtectionComplete).
• Location (optional): If you grant location permission, the app uses your current location to auto-tag where you dined. This location data is stored only in the local encrypted database on your device. It is never sent to any server. You can deny location access and manually type a location name instead.

Encryption

Tip history data is encrypted at rest using iOS Data Protection (NSFileProtectionComplete). The database is unreadable when your device is locked. Optional Face ID / Touch ID protection adds an additional layer of access control.

Third-Party Services

Apple StoreKit: In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchase transactions.

Google AdMob: The free version of Gratuiti displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Upgrading to Gratuiti Pro permanently removes all ads and the AdMob SDK stops loading.

Apple MapKit: Reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates to a place name) is performed using Apple's MapKit framework. Apple's privacy policy applies to this service.

Children's Privacy

Gratuiti does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account or collect personal information.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
